First Class Origin

First Class Transport began in September 1989 in Dover, OH with a single tractor and one dump trailer to move sand and gravel locally.  After a back porch session with Eric Kimble and Eli Stutzman, John Fondriest decided to take the plunge and start his own business with their support as partners.  Just after celebrating their 21st anniversary, the company has moved to a new home north of Strasburg at the State Route 21 and US 250 split.

From modest beginnings, through the hard work of dozens of Ohio employees and contractors, the company has grown to dispatch over 40 tractors and easily double that many cargo tank trailers to haul bulk liquid chemicals. Products travel from shippers to consignees across the Midwest, east to New Jersey and Massachusetts, South to Florida, Louisiana, and Texas, and occasionally west to California. A combination of company drivers and owner-operators supply the manpower to safely deliver over 800 loads each month. These are top notch, experienced professionals who go through extensive orientation and continual training to remain current with the latest procedures and regulations.

The address of the terminal is 9855 State Route 21 NW, Strasburg, OH 44680. The company may be reached by phone at 330-878-4130.
